Biography
Kris was born in San Diego, but he spent most of his childhood running around the suburban neighborhoods of the Southwest Portland Metro Area. Kris attended Westside Christian High School, where he spent most of his time focused on soccer and socializing, but he still managed to graduate in 2006. From there, Kris attended Oregon State University, eventually graduating with a B.A in Political Science in 2011. Kris spent a brief period working in Oregon state legislative politics before moving on to a wildly mediocre career in sales. He spent most of the next decade bouncing from one sales job to the next, until he settled in a role selling HVAC equipment and controls to contractors across the Pacific Northwest.
Eventually, Kris grew restless in his sales career and took the grad school plunge, beginning his law school adventure at the Willamette University College of Law in the fall of 2019. Approximately seven months later, the whole world decided to close up shop and go home, and Kris spent the next year attending classes and studying the law at his dining room table. Despite the pandemic-related inconveniences, Kris excelled in law school, setting the curve in several of his classes, working as an editor on the law review, and consistently ranking in the top 10% of his class. During his final year of school, Kris volunteered at the school's estate planning legal clinic and found work as a law clerk at an employment law firm in Sherwood. In 2022, Kris graduated magna cum laude with a Doctor of Jurisprudence, while also earning a certificate in law and business. After graduation, Kris passed the bar exam and was admitted to practice in Oregon in October of 2022.
Kris primarily works on matters related to employment law and litigation, but also deals with various business transactions and contracts, and some estate planning and estate administration. When he's not at the office, Kris enjoys spending time with his family and friends, running, lifting weights, hiking, skiing, and experiencing the hop-filled bounty of the Pacific Northwest.
