Patrick previously worked for a Spanish-speaking immigration law firm in Ohio and for the Community Development Clinic (assisting nonprofits with transactional and tax matters). Patrick holds a BA from Willamette University and a JD from Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio). During law school, Patrick also served as the Executive Notes Editor for the Journal of International Law, and Copresident of the Federalist Society. Prior to law school, Patrick worked a variety of government positions in Salem, Oregon including as an aide for a senator in the Oregon Legislature, for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and for the Oregon Department of Forestry as a wildland firefighter.

When not practicing law, Patrick plays hockey, skis, and spends time with friends and family.
